Location was good

The room is tiny. The beds were so cheap and bouncy. Everytime my husband moved, I bounced like I was on a trampoline. I also rolled into him because the bed sagged. The room is very basic, like a motel 6 but worse. The corner of the room smelled like urine. The air conditioner was like a swamp cooler, so humid in room. Finally, my husband checked out in the office where a coffee maker sat. He reached for the pitcher of water and saw a bug floating. I never leave poor reviews because I feel bad for the poor pubilicity for the owners, but I felt this was not worth $100.

The hotel was very quiet and clean. The couple that runs the hotel was very curtious and helpful about the area. I would definately stay there if we went up to lake Placid again.

I like the convenience of being close to Main Street while also being budget friendly.

It was quiet. Room had a small kitchenette.

Upon arriving, my room was very cold and I had to request something be done about it. I eventually got an added heater, but it took about 3 hours to get the room to a comfortable level. The owners did seem to feel this was a problem and made excuses. Other patrons said the same thing about having to leave their rooms upon arrival to let them warm up. This should not have to happen when the outside temperatures are in the high 40s. Owners need to be prepared better.

It was quaint, easy to get to and a great value. It was clean and well kept.

It was clean and safe and inexpensive.

Needed to drive to restaurants, shopping, etc. so parking was an issue. I would stay in the center of town next time. It would be worth the extra money. The hotel was just ok, not very comfortable. I was uncomfortable there. The owners were extremely curt. It was ok, just ok. I would not stay there again. I like to be a little more comfortable , in the room and at the pool.

Clean with basic needs with a personal touch.

We rented the Fireplace Cottage for the weekend. The 2 full size beds up stairs were semi-firm and comfortable and my wife and I fit in to one bed and the other was not used. The coutch downstairs was accommidating for additional guests with a small fridge and 4 burner stove was nice to cook breakfast. The staff was very friendly.
